The following policies and procedures are designed to ensure a successful and well-organized event. Our consultants can provide you with additional information and helpful tips in planning your next event creating a personalized event that meets your budget.

Overview

Weddings, Social and Corporate Events:
Wedding Receptions and Social Events are varied in their requirements, we have several beautifully appointed rooms to choose from to accommodate your guests whether a large event or a small, intimate affair.

The following services and set-up are included for Strand Weddings:

  • Wedding Consultant
  • Ceremony Rehearsal Coordinator
  • Wedding Coordinator (present day of Wedding Event)
  • Elegant and Intimate Bridal Party Sitting Rooms
  • The Strand’s Preferred Vendors List
  • White Garden Chairs for Ceremony
  • Microphone for the Ceremony
  • Place Card and Gift Tables
  • Votive Candles for Dining Tables
  • Dance Floor

 

Additional services available at a minimal cost:

  • Bartender
  • Chef Attended Stations
  • Outdoor Event Venues
  • Valet Parking.
  • Cake Cutting and Service

Pricing, Gratuity and Sales Tax:

  • A 20% Service Charge and appropriate Sales Tax will be added to all Food and Beverage purchases. The Sales Tax will also be added to the Facility Location Fees, Set-Up Fees and Rentals.
  • Due to the fluctuation of wholesale food prices, The Club is unable to guarantee prices more than 180 days prior to a function.
  • An additional cost may be incurred if Set-Up and/or Service Enhancements are requested.
  • On days and/or Hours of Operation that The Club at The Strand is normally closed, a Food and Beverage minimum is required to hold a function in any of our rooms.

 

Billing/Deposits:

  • A Letter of Agreement and a Non-Refundable Deposit are required to confirm the date of all events. If the deposit and signed Letter of Agreement are not returned by the date indicated, The Club at The Strand reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion, to release all space being held for the function. Deposits may be made by personal check, Visa or MasterCard.
  • All functions will require a Visa or MasterCard credit card on file to guarantee the balance.
  • The Club reserves the right to reassign or reduce function space, as necessary, in accordance with the guaranteed number of attendees and set-up requirements for the function.

 

Alcoholic Beverages:
The sales and service of alcoholic beverages are governed by the Florida Division of Alcohol and Tobacco. The Club will be the sole provider of alcoholic beverages and will reserve the right to refuse or curtail service to any guest in keeping with the State of Florida guidelines. No alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought in or taken from The Club premises or served to anyone less than 21 years of age.

Tax-Exempt Organizations:
Any organization entitled to Sales Tax exemption from the State of Florida must provide a photocopy or fax of a current Florida State Sales Tax Exemption Certificate at least one week prior to an event.
